Why We Built XpressLingo (and What We Learned Along the Way)
Every traveler knows the moment: you're standing in front of someone, you know exactly what you want to say, and the words just aren't there. Phrasebooks help a little. Generic translation apps help more, but they're built for reading, not speaking — and there's a real difference between seeing a translation and actually saying it out loud with confidence.
Starting From a Real Problem
XpressLingo grew out of a related project — XpressAble, an app built to help a child find the right words in everyday conversation. The same idea kept coming back: the right word, offered at the right moment, changes everything. We wanted to bring that same gentle nudge to travelers.
